Born of Osiris was the second band signed to Sumerian Records in 2007. The band was formed in 2003 in Palatine, Illinois. The band has undergone several name changes including Your Heart Engraved, Diminished, and Rosecrance before finally settling on Born of Osiris, based on the Egyptian deity Osiris and the tale of his son Horus. The band has released two albums and have become one of the leading progressive metal bands on the scene today.
